LOCKWOOD ADVISORYPART TWO · THE PLAN

The Path Forward

Your mission, in your own words. The architecture you have already built for it. And a 90-day plan that puts both to work, starting this week if you say yes.

1The Mission

What this is all for

This is not a career plan. It is a mission with a career behind it. The mission is yours, stated in your own material, and it comes first because everything else in this plan serves it.

Build the collective. Help people see their potential and unlock it. Back the people, projects and technologies that stop what is harming the planet, neutralise the damage, and restore what regenerates. Your mission material, September 2025, in plain form

Your public site already says the operating truth in five words: systems change when people do. Your mission material says why it matters: the work is bigger than any one person, so the job is to grow the number of people who can carry it. One at a time, and then all at once.

The record in Part One is not the story you tell going forward. It is the reason people will trust you when you tell this one. That inversion runs through every page that follows.

2Positioning

The position, stated forward

Your identity line stays: Systems Transition Broker. It is already on your site, echoed in official bios S11 · S02 · S07, and it carries the mission as well as it carried the roles. What changes is the order: mission first, record as one sentence of proof at the end.

The claim, one line

I back the people and projects working on the planet's biggest transitions, and help them cross.

LinkedIn headline (copy-ready)

Systems Transition Broker · Founder, Lockwood Advisory · Strategist, chair and convenor across systems change, infrastructure, investment and the natural world

Short bio, 70 words (copy-ready)

Nicole Lockwood is a strategist, chair and convenor working across systems change, infrastructure, investment and the natural world. Through Lockwood Advisory she backs the people and projects regenerating the planet: brokering the connections, readiness and governance that major transitions require. Her practice stands on two decades of chairing major transitions, from fifty-year port planning to state strategy to national institutional reform.

The first two sentences are your mission and your site's own language. The last sentence is the record, in past tense, doing its one job: proof. Every fact traces to the source ledger.

3The Architecture

The structure you have already built

None of this is invented for this document. The model and the three pillars exist in your own working material. This chapter simply puts them on one page, with what each needs next.

THE SPINE ·

The Threshold Operating Model

What it is
Your own operating model for leading systems through change. Keystone: a system changes the way a person changes, one at a time, and then, at a threshold, all at once. First principle: readiness before access.
Status
In development, deliberately: Phase 1 (the spine: name, principle, structure, non-negotiables) is drafted at v2.1 for your markup. Phases 2 to 4 (diagnostic, intervention library, embedding, visual canon) build on it.
Why it matters
It turns twenty years of practice into something that can be named, trademarked, taught and adopted by boards, commissions and reform programs. It is the intellectual property under all three pillars.
Next move
Your markup of v2.1, then lock the spine and start Phase 2.
PILLAR 1 ·

The Consultancy: readiness-gated connections

What it is
Individuals and founders working toward planetary impact get access to your network, on one condition: readiness first. Your model, applied one person at a time.
How it runs
Session one (30 minutes, free): their story, your read on alignment and gaps. Then the readiness work: mindset support, or positioning work with TLIS. Session two (one hour): review, and if ready, the connections, with agreed terms.
The record's role
Two decades of chairs and boards S02 · S07 · S17 · S20 · S30 are why your introductions carry weight and why your network answers.
Next move
Choose the first three candidates from people already asking; formalise the connection terms properly before the first success-linked agreement.
PILLAR 2 ·

The Systems Work: WA+

What it is
Your collective initiative: a home for projects, funding, collaborators and community aimed at the same planetary goal. Prove the models in WA, then make the case nationally.
How it runs
The founding team creates and backs projects; aligned outside projects plug in; you broker funding and connections; events and pitches build the culture and the pipeline.
The record's role
Westport, Infrastructure WA and the national review S21 · S02 · S28 are documented proof you can hold many parties in one room until something real comes out.
Next move
A one-page charter and a date for the first gathering.
PILLAR 3 ·

The Channel: the public voice

What it is
Essays, talks and interviews that teach the mission and the model in plain language, so the collective grows beyond the people you can meet.
How it runs
Short written pieces on your site first, then selective media and speaking. The story leads with the mission; past cases appear only as evidence.
The record's role
Your attributed forewords, lectures and interviews S02 · S04 · S21 · S23 · S31 mean you already have a hearable voice; the channel points it at the mission.
Next move
Essay one: readiness before access, why transitions fail without it, with your cases as proof.
4The Map

Proof behind, mission ahead

One picture. Left: the record, compressed to what it proves. Right: the three pillars in motion, with the model as the spine beneath all of them.

5Execution

The 90-day plan

If you said yes today, this is the work. Three tracks: the pillars, the model, and the checks that keep everything publishable.

WhenPillars in motionThe modelChecks & positioning
Week 1 Pick the first three consultancy candidates from people already asking. Set the WA+ charter conversation with the founding team. Read The Threshold v2.1 and mark it up: what is yours, what is almost right, what is not. Approve the positioning lines; update LinkedIn and the site one-liner. Clear the four facts: Infrastructure WA end date and title wording, NBN status, WA+ and Purpose Ventures wording, Infrastructure Net Zero record.
Weeks 2–4 Run the first session ones (the 30-minute format is already designed). WA+: one-page charter drafted, first gathering date set. Lock the Phase 1 spine from your markup. Decide trademark filing timing. Draft connection terms with proper legal advice, before any success-linked agreement. Draft essay one: readiness before access.
Month 2 First session twos; first connections made under agreed terms. WA+ gathering one happens. Phase 2 begins: the readiness diagnostic, built from your cases. Publish essay one on the site and LinkedIn. Approach two aligned media or podcast conversations, checks now cleared.
Month 3 Review pillar 1: who crossed, who referred, what the terms earned. WA+: first project or funding conversation brokered. Phase 2 draft reviewed with the team. Essay two. 90-day review with the founding we: what worked, what compounds next quarter.
The one rule Verification before visibility. Every public statement stays inside what the source ledger supports, and the mission is stated as intention, not as claimed results. In your market, that discipline is the brand.
6Decision Points

What only you can decide

What this adds up to A collective that grows beyond the people you can personally reach. A model with your name on it, taught and owned. Work and income aligned to the mission rather than to appointments. And the record from Part One doing exactly one job underneath it all: proof. You have already done the hard part. This is the part you get to choose.
